Liverpool plan Berahino swoop

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is ready to make a move for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino in January, according to the Mirror.

Having taken the lead at Selhurst Park the Reds eventually lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon – their fourth loss in succession while they have scored just fifteen goals so far this season, half of much as league leaders Chelsea.

Their strikers have managed to score just two league goals between them so far this season – one of which came at the weekend and the other from Daniel Sturridge on the opening day of the campaign.

With Sturridge continuing to struggle with injury, and Mario Balotelli failing to impress since arriving on Merseyside, Rodgers is desperate to add more firepower and is ready to turn to Berahino, who earned his first senior international call up earlier this month having impressed both at club level and for England’s U21s.
