Metro has revealed that Liverpool are readying January bid for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore.
The Reds are ready to pounce after the player’s official representative revealed that his client had become unsettled at Parc des Princes.
A number of Serie A sides are also expected to reignite their interest in the Argentine, but Liverpool are hoping an early bid can help them beat other interested teams to the player’s signature.
The 24-year-old has done pretty well since arriving from Palermo two years ago, but many believe he has failed to justify the hefty price tag.
Pastore has scored 17 goals in 72 Ligue 1 appearances for the Saints, helping the team lift the Ligue 1 title last term.
Defending the league title could prove to be a more difficult task following the resurgence of Monaco, with PSG already two points behind their title rivals. The Saints are, nonetheless, 4/11 favourites for the league title.
