Liverpool ready €80m bid for Xavi Simons

Liverpool are interested in signing Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that the Premier League leaders are looking for a replacement for Mohamed Salah and believe that Simons would be a good signing for the Reds.

Salah is out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the season. While the Reds want the Egyptian forward to stay, there is no agreement on a new deal, which means that, as things stand, the former Chelsea attacker is set to leave Anfield as a free agent at the end of June.

While Liverpool believe that Simons would be a very good addition to their team, the Premier League leaders are facing competition from Manchester United. RB Leipzig are aware of interest in Simons and want €80 million for him, and while it is a big figure for certain clubs, Liverpool are ready to pay it.
