Liverpool are interested in signing Levi Colwill from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that Liverpool are ready to make an offer for the 20-year-old central defender and are confident of getting a deal done.
However, Chelsea do not want to sell Colwill, who spent last season on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion from the Blues. The Seagulls are keen on securing the services of the youngster on a permanent contract, while Manchester City, who won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League last season, have been linked as well.
Colwill has emerged as one of the best young defenders in the Premier League. It will be interesting to see how much transfer fee Liverpool actually offer for the 20-year-old English youngster, and whether Chelsea do cash in on him this summer.
