Liverpool readying bid for Porto’s Fucile

Liverpool are planning a January bid for Porto defender Fucile, Portuguese daily A Bola reveals.

The Reds boss Kenny Dalglish is eager to add more quality to his back line in January and recent reports suggest that Porto defender Jorge Fucile is one of the possible targets.

Dalglish already tried to sign the Uruguayan in the summer, but was put off by Porto’s €20 million asking price.

The situation has now changed as the player lost his place in the starting line-up and will be allowed to leave the club in January.

The 27-year-old full back can play on either flank, and Kenny Dalglish believes that the player’s versatility can be a big asset to the Liverpool squad.
