Liverpool reasserrted their Premier League title credentials with a convincing 2-0 win in their derby clash with Everton on Saturday.
Fernando Torres's second half double at Goodison Park sealed the points long before Everton had Australian midfielder Tim Cahill sent off for a two-footed challenged on Xabi Alonso.
The lunchtime victory lifted Liverpool back to the top of the table for at least a couple of hours.
Overnight leaders Arsenal were due to face Hull in a late kick-off match while Chelsea could also move back above Liverpool with a victory at Stoke.
