Liverpool reject Crystal Palace bid for Doak

According to Paul Joyce of The Times, Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town have had offers for Ben Doak rejected by Liverpool. The Eagles proposed to pay £15 million for the services of the 19-year-old winger, and Ipswich offered a million more, but the Merseysiders value his talent at £30 million. Both clubs are expected to return with improved offers before the end of the month.

Still considered too raw to play for the Premier League leaders, Doak is currently plying his trade on loan with Middlesbrough in the Championship, where he has two goals and five assists in 20 appearances (17 starts) in the English second tier. He also represents Scotland at international level, with six caps to his name. As things stand at the moment, he is set to return to his parent club at the end of the season. At Liverpool they believe he might have a role to play in their future plans.
