Liverpool reject Napoli bid for Moreno

Liverpool have rejected an £11m bid from Napoli for defender Alberto Moreno, according to the Telegraph.

The Spain international struggled to hold down a first team place under Jurgen Klopp last season, starting in the Premier League just twice, but the Reds are holding out for a fee closer to £15m.

As well as Napoli fellow Serie A side AC Milan have registered an interest while the full-back’s former side Sevilla who sold the twenty-four year old to Liverpool three years ago, shortly after he had helped them win the Europa League.

Since arriving on Merseyside Moreno has racked up a total of one hundred and four appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.

Internationally, he has been capped three times for Spain but hasn’t featured for them since before he arrived at Anfield, while he was part of the U21s squad that won the 2013 UEFA European Championships.
