Liverpool are interested in signing Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson, according to HITC. The report has claimed that Premier League club Liverpool could be in the market for a second-choice goalkeeper, and that Patterson is on the radar of the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners.
Alisson is the first-choice goalkeeper at Liverpool, with Caoimhin Kelleher his back up. Kelleher has done well for the Reds this season when playing in place of Alisson due to injury, and the Republic of Ireland international has aspirations to be a number one goalkeeper. So, Liverpool could sell Kelleher in the summer transfer window.
HITC has reported that Liverpool watched Patterson in action for Sunderland against Bristol City at the Stadium of Light last weekend. The Championship game ended in a draw. While Liverpool are aiming to win the Premier League and the UEFA Europa League this season, Sunderland are not going to finish in the Championship top six.
