Liverpool set to go after Koulibaly

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Liverpool are set to make a move for Kalidou Koulibaly in the January transfer window.

The Reds are ready and willing to pay Napoli €75 million in order to acquire his signature but as we’ve seen before, it isn’t that easy when it comes to Koulibaly.

Multiple clubs have attempted to sign him in the past but have been unable to do so and when you consider just how badly Napoli will want to keep hold of him, it seems optimistic from Liverpool’s standpoint that they think they can get this done in January.

The 29-year-old is just about to come into his prime as a defender and it does feel as if the Premier League is his most likely destination, but Napoli have the right to try and be stubborn – even if it winds up frustrating the English champions in the next few months.
