Liverpool set to sell up for £5 million Riise

Liverpool defender John Arne Riise is expected to complete his £5 million move to Italian Serie A side Roma, according to The Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool have accepted a £5 million bid for Riise after weeks of tracking from the Italian club, and Riise already described his frustration at being left on the fringes of Benitez’s squad earlier this week.

Riise said: ‘I need to be playing and to be in a team where I can get better, because I know I can improve,’ he said.

‘When you change clubs, you get a new set of challenges and it can kickstart things for you.”

Riise is expected to seal the deal later this week after the Norweigan has spent 7 years at Anfield after 234 appearances at the club.
