Liverpool are set to win the race for Basel youngster Nicholas Hunziker, The Mirror reports.
The Reds boss Kenny Dalglish has recently been alerted of the player’s potential and is now ready to make a move on the 15-year-old.
King Kenny sent his chief scout to watch Hunziker make a debut for Switzerland youth team.
The youngster had an impressive debut, scoring a hat-trick for his country, and to say that he impressed the visiting scouts would be an understatement.
Hunziker has yet to sign a professional contract with FC Basel and Liverpool are now looking to lure the youngster to Anfield instead.
Napoli are also keen on the 15-year-old, but it appears that Liverpool are leading the race at the moment.
