Arsenal’s woeful season is bound to have a huge impact on potential player exodus at the end of the season and one of the first-team members who is seriously considering his options is believed to be England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Unsettled winger has been so far deployed in a midfield role which he at times struggled to fulfil, but his overall influence at Arsenal this season has been reduced to even 13 substitute appearances.
Arsene Wenger omitted Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal’s frustrating defeat at Crystal Palace and the unsettled winger is thought to be weighing up his options with Liverpool ready to take him on when the summer transfer window opens.
According to Telegraph, the Reds refuse to back down in front of Arsenal’s £35 million valuation of the 23-year-old England international as Jurgen Klopp continues his pursuit of Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Klopp is hoping his existing base of English players – Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Nathaniel Clyne – will be able to help persuading Oxlade-Chamberlain to join up at the end of the season.
