Daily Mail has suggested that Liverpool are stepping up their efforts to sign Shakhtar Donetsk star Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Reds officials have been quite busy over the last few weeks, with Andy Carroll finalising his move to West Ham and forward Iago Aspas set to arrive from Celta Vigo.
Meanwhile, their chase for a new centre-back continues after their approach for Schalke defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos was rejected.
At the same time, the Reds are set to launch a new assault on Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan as they look to inject much needed creativity to the squad.
The Ukrainian giants have so far resisted temptation to cash in on their star player, but a big money offer could make them change their minds.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 24, has enjoyed by far the best season in his career, scoring no less than 29 goals in 42 competitive appearances for the Donbass Arena outfit.
