Liverpool step up Gravenberch interest

Liverpool have stepped up their interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, according to Jonathan Northcroft of The Times.

Gravenberch has reportedly been on the list of potential midfield targets for Liverpool for a while, but the probability of the Merseyside club taking concrete steps towards acquiring his services increased greatly following their decision to pull out of the race for Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.

Liverpool are obviously in need of a summer rebuild, particularly of the midfield section, and at the age of 20, Gravenberch is obviously seen as a good candidate to help in that aspect.

Widely regarded a promising youngster, the 11-cap Netherlands international joined Bayern from Ajax last summer for just over €18million, but though he’s made a total of 27 appearances in all competitions for the Bavarians this term, he was in the starting XI only four times, and it seems he’s become disillusioned about his role at the Allianz Arena.
