Real Sociedad midfielder Antoine Griezmann has expressed his desire to join Atletico Madrid.
The 20-year-old has attracted interest from big European clubs with his performances at Real Socidead and is now eager to move to a bigger club.
The player, who is currently with France at the Under-20 World Cup in Colombia, admits he is keen to join Atletico Madrid.
“I have given it a lot of thought in Tignes. I had time,” Griezmann told L’Equipe.
“I have made my choice, but it’s my president that will make a decision.
”Atletico are a great club, very popular. I want to grow alongside players like Diego Forlan and Diego Costa.”
Atletico Madrid have already offered €7 million plus Raul Garcia and Fran Merida for the player who was recently linked with a move to Liverpool.
Even though the offer was rejected, los Colchoneros believe they will be able to close the deal very soon.
