French defender Mamadou Sakho could be leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to L’Equipe.
The Saints are reportedly closing in on Roma defender Marquinhos, with the arrival of the talented footballer likely to push Sakho closer to the exit door.
The 23-year-old is eager to leave the French giants in search of first team football as he is desperate to keep his place in the national team ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Sakho has been offered a new deal at Parc des Princes almost a month ago, but everything suggests he won’t be signing a contract extension.
New PSG boss Laurent Blanc has informed the player he would get a chance to nail down a regular starting berth this season, but the France interantional seems to be slowly losing patience.
The likes of Liverpool, Monaco and AC Milan would jump at the opportunity to sign Sakho should he become available for sale.
