Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola has learned that Liverpool are readying big money offer for Sporting CP winger Gelson Martins.
The Reds are one of the clubs that have been thoroughly impressed with the player’s performances last season and Jurgen Klopp is now determined to bring him to Anfield.
Even though Gelson has a €60 million release clause in his new deal, the Lions are reportedly prepared to consider offers in the region of €50 million.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will come close to matching the asking price, but they are soon expected to come forward with an official bid.
Gelson Martins managed 6 goals and 14 assists in 32 competitive outings last season, catching the eye of clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester United in the process.
