French daily newspaper L’Equipe has learned that Liverpool are the latest club to have shown interest in Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
The French footballer has already caught the eye of Arsenal and Roma, but it appears the Reds are set to make a move as well.
Brendan Rodgers is a bit short of options in the centre of the park and he believes the 27-year-old would be a great addition to the squad at Anfield.
And while Newcastle are not exactly keen on selling their prized asset, they might not be able to resist a big money offer in the January transfer window.
Yohan Cabaye hinted at a move away from St James’ Park this summer, and it looks as though he could be leaving the Magpies in the coming months after all.
Liverpool’s title hopes suffered a real blow as the Reds were beaten by Arsenal last weekend, but they are now 13/10 for a top 4 finish.
