Liverpool to go after Depay

According to a recent report from Marca, Liverpool could move in on Barcelona’s attempt to sign Lyon star Memphis Depay this summer.

The 27-year-old is set to become a free agent during the summer transfer window with the popular belief being that he will leave France and move on to pastures new. Nobody quite knows where that’s going to take him, but Barca have made it pretty clear that they’d like him to come over to the Nou Camp.

On the flip side you’ve got Liverpool who, it’s safe to say, need some consistent goalscoring talent within their ranks.

The only issue for them may be the Manchester United side of things given the fact that Depay spent two years at Old Trafford. Alas, given the way he left the club, a part of us believes he wouldn’t think twice about heading over to Anfield to help the Reds try and reclaim their spot as top dogs.
