Liverpool’s interest in 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder Andre Trindade has been well-documented, and it appears that they are still keen on securing his services. The Reds made a move for him in the summer, but Fluminense turned down the offer, believing that their squad had a genuine chance of winning the Copa Libertadores.
Andre has been a key player for Fluminense, and his performances have helped the team reach the final of the competition. His display in a 2-1 win over Internacional in the second leg of the semifinal has only heightened his reputation.
Liverpool’s interest in Andre suggests that they see him as a further addition to their already revitalised midfield section, following the acquisitions of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch. The Mirror have reported that the Merseysiders are likely to move for him again in Janaury, while reports elsewhere say the young Brazilian is quite keen on the idea of Anfield as his destination.
