Liverpool to shell out £50m for Ndidi

While Premier League giants Liverpool have been dazzling going forward this season, their defensive efforts have not been quite as fruitful, even if that could be set to change with the arrival of Virgil van Dijk.

For Jurgen Klopp this seems to be the next area of concern to deal with in the transfer window, and the German coach has already been linked with a number of goalkeepers and defenders.

A new name on the Reds’ shopping list however is that of Wilfried Ndidi, according to the Mirror, Leicester’s under the radar defensive midfielder, who is trying his very best to fill the huge shoes vacated by N’Golo Kante a couple of seasons ago.

Liverpool’s current midfield star Emre Can could leave the club in the summer after contract negotiations stalled, and Ndidi could come in as a replacement to help sit in front of the defence and shield them.

The Nigerian is in his second season with Leicester, and has established himself as a top player in his position.
