Liverpool to swoop in for Thorgan Hazard

According to reports in Belgium, Liverpool are interested in signing Thorgan Hazard from Borussia Monchengladbach this summer.

The brother of Chelsea star Eden, Hazard has been linked with several clubs throughout the season, mostly Borussia Dortmund as they look to replace the Chelsea-bound Christian Pulisic. It would be almost poetic if he went on to replace the player which is in turn seen as a replacement for his Madrid-bound brother at Stamford Bridge, but it appears Liverpool are set to have their say on the matter. According to Het Nieuwsblad, they are ready to pay £40 million to bring the 26-year-old to Anfield, £5 million more than Dortmund. Further more, if they decide to do a deal, Monchengladbach would prefer to see the winger leave the Bundesliga.

Liverpool could use a rotational option for their star wide forwards Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. Out of 33 Premier League games this season, Salah has appeared in all of them while Mane has missed only four through injury so far. A quality addition to share the workload would certainly come in handy for manager Jurgen Klopp.
