Liverpool and Tottenham battle for Kalou; Milan bid for Ever Banega

hot-transfer-newsLiverpool and Tottenham battle for Kalou

Daily Mirror is reporting that Liverpool and Tottenham are prepared to offer Lille forward Salomon Kalou a chance to return to English Premier League.

The Ivorian left Chelsea on a free transfer to join les Dogues in the summer of 2011, and has since impressed in French Ligue 1.

Kalou went on to score 20 goals in 47 league outings, but he has admitted a return to English Premier League would appeal to him.

And Daily Mirror has suggested that Liverpool and Tottenham are showing interest in the 28-year-old footballer.

Both sides are pretty short of options up front and they believe the Ivorian would be a good addition to the squad.

Prior to joining Lille, Kalou had spent six years at Stamford Bridge, scoring 37 goals in 155 Premier League appearances.

Milan bid for Ever Banega

AC Milan have submitted an official proposal for Argentine midfielder Ever Banega, Tuttosport has learned.

The Rossoneri are desperate to reinforce the squad in January following a dismal start to the season and they have already secured the signatures of Keisuke Honda and Adil Rami.

Signing another central midfielder is a priority at the moment, with Valencia’s Ever Banega currently on their radar.

According to Tuttosport, AC Milan have offered to take the player on a six-month loan with an option to make the deal permanent for €10 million.

The problem is that Fiorentina, Roma and Inter Milan are also interested, although the Rossoneri were the first side to submit an official offer.

Ever Banega is held in high regard by top European clubs, but los Che could consider selling him in January with the 25-year-old losing his place in the starting line-up.

Boca confirm Paredes set to join Roma

Roma are set to complete a loan signing of midfielder Leandro Paredes from Boca Juniors, the Argentine giants have revealed.

The Giallorossi had been determined to lure the youngster to Stadio Olimpico and they seem to have finally succeeded in their quest.

Namely, Boca Juniors president Daniel Angelici has confirmed that Roma have agreed an 18-month loan for Paredes with an option to buy.

“Paredes leaves tomorrow (Monday), we have authorised his departure for Italy,” Angelici was quoted as saying in Ole.

“He will be on loan to Roma because he has no place here and he wants to grow professionally. Is this a loan? Yes, so that he can recover from his last injury.”

Leandro Paredes, 19, is one of the hottest prospects to have come out of club’s youth academy in recent years and has been likened to Boca legend Juan Roman Riquelme.
