The Mirror understands that Liverpool have slapped a £30m price tag on centre-back Mamadou Sakho.
The defender has been on loan at Crystal Palace since January and appears to have played his last game for his parent club with manager Jurgen Klopp deeming him surplus to requirements.
The Eagles will be among the favourites to secure his services with the twenty-seven year old playing a key role in guiding them to Premier League safety.
Last week, it was announced that he had been shortlisted to win the Fan’s Player of the Year award despite having played just eight times for the south London club.
Prior to his switch to Selhurst Park, he racked up eighty appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, scoring three goals.
Internationally, he has been capped twenty-eight times for France, scoring twice and was part of their squad for the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil but missed out on selection for the European Championships in his home country two years later.
