Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is pondering a move for Spurs defender Danny Rose, Daily Mail has suggested.
The 22-year-old is due to report at White Hart Lane after his loan spell at Sunderland ended, but it looks as though he won’t be staying in North London for much longer.
Daily Mail has learned that Liverpool are keen on adding Rose to their ranks in the summer transfer window.
The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers values the England Under-21 international highly, but he will first have to offload several players before he can launch an assault on Rose.
The full-back has been in scintillating form for Sunderland this season, with his impressive defensive displays earning him a lot of admirers.
Given that competition for places is fierce at White Hart Lane, Rose would probably be interested in leaving Tottenham, and a promise of first team football could have a bearing on his decision.
