According to reports in France, Liverpool are interested in the possibility of signing Abdoulaye Doucoure. The 25 year old Frenchman has come into his own in the last 18 months or so, and ever since joining from Rennes back in 2016, it has certainly felt like he’s been on an upward trajectory towards the top of European football.
Liverpool already have a fantastic squad but there are certainly areas they could strengthen when it comes to squad depth, and it’d be interesting to see how Doucoure fits into that equation. Alas, the Reds won’t be the only team in the mix, with the report suggesting that Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain could also be interested.
Watford have their eyes set on a very realistic top half finish in the Premier League this season in the wake of a strong start to the campaign, and Doucoure is an important part of making that become a reality.
Liverpool’s suggested offer is said to be around £35 million.
