Liverpool want Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans on free transfer

Liverpool are interested in signing Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. The report has claimed that Tielemans is out of contract at Leicester at the end of the season, and that Premier League rivals Liverpool are keen on snapping up the midfielder on a free transfer.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are not having the best of times at the moment and could do with freshening up their midfield department in the summer transfer window. The Reds are struggling to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season and are also set to get knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by Real Madrid at the Round of 16 stage.

Liverpool are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 39 points from 24 matches, as many as six points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur. Meanwhile, Leicester currently find themselves 15th in the league table with 24 points from 25 games.
