Liverpool are interested in signing Leon Goretzka from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window, according to Football Transfers. The report has claimed that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are on the hunt for a new midfielder, with Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and Thiago potentially leaving Anfield this summer.
The report has stated that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp personally wants Goretzka at Anfield. Bundesliga champions Bayern are open to selling Goretzka in the summer of 2023 and are looking for €40 million in transfer fees for the 28-year-old Germany international midfielder.
Goretzka made 22 starts and five substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for Bayern last season. The midfielder scored three goals and gave two assists in those matches. In seven starts and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for Bayern last season, Goretzka scored two goals and provided four assists.
