Liverpool want Upamecano & Konate

According to a recent report from Bild, Liverpool are interested in making a double push for Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate.

Whether or not the RB Leipzig pair would both end up going to Anfield at the same time remains to be seen as it would be quite the effort to bring them both over, regardless of the money, due to how much of an impact it would have on their first team squad.

Jurgen Klopp is in need of some more defensive options after recent injuries to Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk with both looking set to miss out for the rest of the season.

Liverpool are still considered to be the favourites to win the Premier League title this season but if they want to strengthen their grip on that race, they’ll need to buy someone who is going to be a long-term option for them at the back.
