Liverpool will NOT resurrect Fekir deal

Despite recent recent reports in France claiming otherwise, Liverpool will NOT be revisiting the possibility of signing Nabil Fekir from Olympique Lyon, according to the Independent.

The Champions League winners were a step away from securing the services of the France international last year for around £53 million. Everything was ready, even a promotional video had been made when they pulled out of the deal in the last possible moment due to concerns over the state of his knee. Liverpool apparently sought a second opinion after the failure of the initial medical and eventually decided to pull the plug, deeming the risk too great given the size of the agreed fee.

Since then, various speculative reports have been popping up, suggesting a deal still could happen, but it never has. The latest claims, originating in France, were that the Reds were contemplating a €30 million offer as he is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract with Lyon, but it seems there is no truth in such claims and as far as Liverpool are concerned, the deal is still dead.
