It promises to be another action-packed weekend in the Premier League as the busy December schedule continues apace.
The standout game is on Sunday as table-topping Liverpool welcome big rivals Manchester United to Anfield. Jurgen Klopp’s side took advantage of Manchester City’s defeat at Chelsea last weekend to move to the top of the standings and they are favourites to beat United.
However, punters searching the best betting odds across different markets may be tempted by what appears to be generous odds on the visitors. The Red Devils are priced at 9/2 to win the game and that looks too big given that they have lost just one of their last 10 meetings with Liverpool in all competitions.
Elsewhere on Sunday, title hopefuls Arsenal and Chelsea are also in action as they visit Southampton and Brighton & Hove Albion respectively.
The Gunners have lost just one of their last seven meetings with Saints in all competitions and it’s difficult to imagine the home side springing a surprise in this one.
Chelsea head to Brighton with their confidence boosted by last week’s excellent 2-0 home victory over Man City. The Blues have won their last eight meetings with Brighton in all competitions and they are fancied to extend that run at the Amex Stadium.
The highlight on Saturday is Man City’s clash with Everton at the Etihad Stadium. City took four points off the Toffees last season and will understandably be eager to bounce back from their defeat against Chelsea.
Everton drew 1-1 at the Etihad last term, but it’s difficult to imagine them troubling what will be a fired-up home side this weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur look banker material to beat Burnley at Wembley, while resurgent West Ham United can come out on top at Fulham.
Wolverhampton Wanders have bounced back to form over the past couple of weeks and can make it three wins in a row with a victory over Bournemouth at Molineux.
Watford should defeat Cardiff City at Vicarage Road, but the Crystal Palace v Leicester City and Huddersfield Town v Newcastle United games look too close to call and can reward punters looking for draw bets this weekend.
The Man City, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea four-fold is priced at odds of just over 11/4 and that looks a tempting price for the quartet to record victories this weekend.
