According to a recent report from Kicker, Liverpool are planning on sending Marko Grujic back out on loan for another season. The 23 year old spent last season on loan with Hertha Berlin, and prior to that, he also spent time with Cardiff City and Red Star Belgrade. Hertha are very interested in the possibility of signing him, whereas Werder Bremen are also said to be in the running. The Reds clearly see something in him on a long term basis courtesy of their insistence on not selling him permanently, but at the same time, Grujic may start to call their bluff. It’s clear to see that there are no immediate plans for him in Liverpool’s starting XI, especially after they were able to capture the Champions League title this weekend. Now, the big question is whether or not Grujic wants to hang onto the idea of locking down a secure spot at Anfield, or permanently move onto the next chapter of his career.
