Serbian forward Adem Ljajic has hinted that he could leave AS Roma in search of first team football at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old joined the Giallorossi from Fiorentina last summer, but hasn’t quite managed to establish himself as a first team regular at Stadio Olimpico.
Ljajic produced a very good performance in yesterday’s 3-1 triumph over Atalanta, scoring a goal and setting up another, but he has made it clear he is not satisfied with the current status at the club.
“I hadn’t been playing much recently, but football is like that, the coach decides who plays. I gave my all and I think it went well,” Ljajic confessed to Sky Sport Italia.
“I came here to play, there are five games left, then when the moment arrives to talk we will sit around a table and see what the best course of action is.”
Adem Ljajic made a total of 24 Serie A appearances for the Giallorossi this season, starting 13 of those games, and has managed 6 goals and 4 assists in the process.
AS Roma closed the gap behind league leaders Juventus to five points by defeating Atalanta at their Stadio Olimpico, but with their rivals having a game in hand, the Giallorossi are 22/1 for the Serie A title.
