(GSM) – Slovenia coach Matjaz Kek is confident that striker Zlatan Ljubijankic will be back to full fitness in time for their first match at the World Cup against Algeria.
Ljubijankic was a minor concern with an ankle injury but he has been given the go-ahead to play against the Algerians on 13th June.
“I am happy that the injury to Zlatan Ljubijankic is not a serious one and he will be fit for the opening game against the Algerians,” the coach said.
“There is room for progress in several departments, especially when we don’t have the upper hand, but overall I am satisfied with our build-up for the World Cup,” he added.
The 26-year-old played more than 155 games for Domazle in 2002-2008 seasons and scored 43 goals.
Slovenia have been drawn in Group C and will also face games against England and the United States.
