According to a recent report from Sky Italy, former Tottenham Hotspur forward Fernando Llorente is most interested by the possibility of a move to Italian club Napoli as opposed to a switch to Manchester United or Inter Milan. Llorente wound up becoming something of a minor cult figure at Spurs last season, which is why some fans were surprised by the club’s decision to not keep him on the books.
Even at this late stage of his career Llorente is a natural goalscorer, and it feels like Italian football could be the right kind of stage for him to finish his career on.
Manchester United fans certainly weren’t pleased about the idea of signing him once it become a more popular rumour, so thankfully for them, it doesn’t appear as if that’s going to happen anymore.
Napoli clearly have an invested interest, and that’s starting to show with each and every passing day.
