Lo Celso wants to join Tottenham

According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Giovani Lo Celso is interested in joining Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window – in order to link up with Mauricio Pochettino. He is hoping that current club Real Betis are going to allow him to leave, but the Spanish club want a significant offer to come in before they agree to sell him. His release clause is currently priced at £88 million, and while a series of clubs are probably capable of paying that kind of amount, it’s certainly a risk. A deal of that nature would smash Tottenham’s transfer record, but given that Christian Eriksen seems to be on his way out of the club, it’s a move they may have to make. Whatever happens, it seems like a virtual certainty at this stage that Lo Celso is going to be leaving, which is obviously going to be hard for Betis to take based on recent evidence.
