Joao Felix, currently at Barcelona on loan from Atletico Madrid, scored the only goal of the game between the two clubs on Sunday.
To make matters worse for his parent club, before the game, the 24-year-old Portuguese attacker said any player would prefer playing for Barcelona to Atletico, preferring Xavi Hernandez’s attacking approach to the largely defensive one of Diego Simeone.
The trouble is, at the end of the season, Felix is due to return to the Spanish capital, where he will have five years left on his contract.
