According to Tuttosport, Celta Vigo midfielder Stanislav Lobotka could leave the Spanish club in the January transfer window in search of Champions League football. The 23 year old Slovakian has made quite the impression with Celta since last year, and it’s clear to see that his future lies away from the club despite how much success he’s had there.
A who’s who of European giants are said to be interested in signing Lobotka, including Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli, Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan. If he does end up making the move away it’ll be intriguing to see whether or not the aforementioned clubs go ahead with the move in January or decide to wait it out until the summer.
Spurs, in particular, would likely benefit from bringing him in sooner rather than later, given that they’ve been struggling to establish any real depth in their squad after failing to make any signings before the start of the 2018/19 season.
