Loftus-Cheek happy at Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has claimed that he’s still happy at the club, insisting that the competition for places in the first team is good and healthy. RLC hit the headlines in a big way last night with a hat-trick for the Blues against BATE Borisov, and yet it still seems as if Maurizio Sarri won’t be slotting him back into the first team picture.

The youngster has done just about everything he can do to try and work his way back into the starting XI, but for this season, it seems as if he’ll have to settle for competing in the Europa League and in cup competitions. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing given how competitive a lot of their games have been, but if he starts to show signs of frustration, then we could easily see him looking for a move elsewhere – if not in January, then next summer.
