As the Premier League continues on, Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has spoken about his desire to prove himself at Stamford Bridge amid some speculation over his future. The 22-year-old was able to turn some heads at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, but despite his loan move to Crystal Palace last season, it still seems as if he’s more interested in locking down a consistent place in the first team with the Blues.
RLC stated that he’s played in a few different positions, but that he wants to make the attacking midfield role in a 4-3-3 set up his and nobody else’s. The youngster’s determination has certainly caught the attention of many top European clubs, and if Maurizio Sarri is invested in the idea of keeping him in London, then he needs to ensure that he’s providing him with regular football. Otherwise, there are plenty of big sides that would be willing to take a chance on him in January.
