Lokomotiv keen on Serbian starlet

Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow are set to make a move on Red Star winger Darko Lazovic, according to Izvestia.

New Lokomotiv boss Miodrag Bozovic knows the player well having coached him at Borac Cacak and he is eager to lure him to Russia at the earliest opportunity.

And seeing as how the Serbia international will be out of contract in the summer and has no plans to sign a new deal at Marakana, he will be available on a cut-price deal in January.

Darko Lazovic is widely regarded as one of the best players in Serbian Superliga, and he has so far been linked with quite a few top clubs.

The 24-year-old was on the verge of joining Standard Liege in the summer and is now followed by Udinese, Genk and Red Bull Salzburg.

Lazovic, who scored 24 goals in 122 competitive appearances for Red Star, has earned four Serbia caps, and is predicted a bright future in the game.
