Long extends Brentford stay

Everton striker Chris Long has extended his loan stay with promotion chasing Brentford, according to Talksport.

The 20 year old has scored four goals in ten appearances since moving to Griffin Park, two of which coming in last month’s 4-1 victory over Huddersfield Town.

Prior to his move to Mark Warbuton’s side, Long had a brief loan spell with MK Dons while his only outing for his parent club came as a ten minute cameo in the Toffee’s 1-0 defeat to Russian side Krasnodar in the group stages of the Europa League.

The Bees currently sit seventh in the Championship, three points behind sixth place Ipswich Town with just two games left to play.

They can also catch last season’s beaten play-off finalists Derby County, and will continue their push at Reading on Saturday afternoon, where they away win can be backed at a price of 1/1 before finishing the regular campaign at home to Wigan Athletic.
