“We have to be together in the same way, we want to improve. In football you have to want to increase your performance and squad. This is about investment too,” Lopetegui said.
“I am going to have a long meeting with our chairman to hear him and hear what his ideas are for next year. This is going to be key for me.”
Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui has made it clear that he believes investment is needed for the club to go to the next level.
When Lopetegui took charge, Wolves had been bottom of the Premier League table at Christmas with just 10 points to their name. Now, they’re safe in the top flight for another year and looking ahead to what could be a huge summer transfer window.
The gaffer understands the quality he has at his disposal and now, it’s a case of finding a way to get the club back into the top half and fighting for Europe again.
