Lorenzo Insigne agrees new Napoli deal

ll Corriere dello Sport understands that Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne has agreed to sign a new deal at Stadio San Paolo.

The highly rated footballer is currently in high demand after what has been his most productive Serie A campaign, having managed 14 goals and 7 assists in 31 games.

And having seen top European clubs cast admiring glances his way, Napoli chiefs decided to act and offered Insigne a serious pay rise to stay in Naples.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the two sides have reached an agreement over a contract until June 2022, worth €4.5 million per campaign.

The new deal will be officially announced at a press conference that will be held at 11:30 in club’s training camp and will be attended by the player himself and Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Lorenzo Insigne has long ago become fans’ favourite at his boyhood club and his loyalty to the Azzurri never came into question.
