Competition: MLS
Market: Los Angeles FC win
Odds: 23/20 @ Bet 365
After booking their spot in the semi-finals of this years US Open Cup, Bob Bradley’s Los Angeles FC side will look to carry on their impressive run of form when they meet Minnesota United on Monday.
For Carl Craig’s Minnesota side, although The Loons may now sit five points off the playoff positions in the West and are coming off the back of a 2-1 win over New England, on paper Monday will be an incredibly difficult test for the hosts. Along with losing the reverse fixture against Los Angeles 2-0 back in May, it will be the hosts recent defensive issues that will be the biggest cause for concern for Craig’s side. Conceding over two goals per game on average over the past month, Minnesota have recorded just one MLS clean sheet in their last 12 outings.
As for Bob Bradley’s Los Angeles FC side, although FC Dallas may have briefly stolen top spot from the visitors, the MLS’ latest franchise successfully booked their spot in the semi-finals of this years US Open Cup with a win over Portland last time out. Now on a nine-match unbeaten run, one man to watch for The Whites is former Hull City striker Adama Diomande. With the visitors now scoring 13 in their last five outings, the 28-year-old Norway international has scored 12 goals since moving to the Banc of California Stadium earlier this year.
