As reported by Sport, Genoa’s Krzysztof Piatek is currently attracting strong interest from all over Europe, and it’s certainly nothing to be wondered at. The Polish striker has bagged an incredible number of 13 goals in only eight outings in Serie A and Coppa Italia this season.
Clubs in Germany, Spain and England have apparently opened their eyes and are watching the 23-year-old intently. As is always the case with players of such young age, Borussia Dortmund are very alert, but there are also reports that Bayern Munich see him as the perfect candidate to replace former Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.
In England, it’s Arsenal who are reportedly very interested. They currently have Alexandre Lacazette firing on all cylinders along with another former Dortmund man – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but the Gabonese turns 30 next summer and Piatek would represent an obvious upgrade on Danny Welbeck.
Barcelona are also on the lookout to replace an aging striker in Luis Suarez who turns 32 in January, and Piatek is one of a few upcoming attacking players boasting such all-round centre-forward quality.
However, no concrete proposals have come Genoa’s way yet.
