Roma are showing interest in several high-profile defenders as they search for potential successor to Mehdi Benatia, Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed.
With some of Europe’s top clubs keen on the Moroccan, the Giallorossi have decided to entertain offers in the region of €30 million.
And if they manage to cash in on the highly rated centre-back, Roma will sign one or two quality replacements.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Giallorossi are showing interest in Dejan Lovren, Jan Vertonghen, Gabriel Paletta and Toby Alderweireld.
Parma’s Gabriel Paletta is probably the most realistic target at the moment, although Dejan Lovren might also be allowed to leave in case of a good offer.
The interesting thing is that all four defenders are likely to feature at the 2014 World Cup, meaning the tournament finals in Brazil will be a perfect chance for Roma official to run the rule on their targets.
