Low & Bierhoff denied entry by Arsenal

The ongoing international saga involving Mesut Ozil appears to have taken another turn, with Bild reporting that Joachim Low and Oliver Bierhoff were denied entry into Arsenal’s training ground after flying over to speak with Ozil. The midfielder recently retired from international duty after feeling as if he was disrespected, in addition to being exposed to racism from the German FA.

This has always been a controversial story from the minute it first hit the papers, and it seems as if we’re far from an official conclusion. Many players have retired from international duty over the years only to change their mind somewhere down the line, but at this point, it feels like Ozil’s mind has been made up.

We’ll have to wait and see whether or now Low is able to convince Ozil to change his mind, as the Germans aim to bounce back following an abysmal World Cup campaign.
