Slovakian Lubos Michel has been appointed by UEFA as referee for Wednesday’s Champions League final between Manchester United and Chelsea.
The forty-year-old will be assisted by linesmen Roman Slysko and Martin Balko, while Vladimir Hrinak is the game’s fourth official.
Michel has led many important games in the past, being active at the last two World Cup’s and Euro 2004.
The Slovakian also took the whistle at the Olympic final of 2000, the UEFA Cup final in 2003 and the final of the Confederations Cup two years later.
